consider Planned Giving as one method of donating to the
John A. Cheley Foundation. You can arrange for the Foundation
to be the recipient of life insurance, IRAs, 401Ks, and
you can name the Foundation in your will.
Life
Insurance, IRAs and 401Ks
Consider designating a portion of these proceeds to
the Cheley Foundation. If properly accomplished, this
can be done without tax effect. We have forms to aid
in the designation of life insurance which we will furnish
on request. Contact
Barb Rosston.
Wills
Designating the John Austin Cheley Foundation in
your will is an excellent way to give the gift of a
summer camping experience. This can de done by specifying:
A
specific dollar amount
A
percentage of the residual value of your estate
Specific
assets
You don't need to rewrite your will in its entirety
- a codicil can be added to accomplish the same goal.
Please consult your lawyer. Please let us know if you
designate the Foundation so we can list you as a member
of our Summit Society.
It's
possible to include the John Austin Cheley Foundation
as a part of your lifetime charitable gift giving program
or your estate plan. A representative of the Foundation
can work with you and one or more of your advisors (attorney,
C.P.A., or financial planner) to help you make this
type of gift.
You
can decide exactly how to structure your gift. To see
examples of Planned Giving, please see this document:
